Fine Arts - I Drawing and Painting
|
|
The learner will be able to practice obtaining a full
range of values with various black and white and color drawing media, and will
apply them in a series of drawing assignments of varying subjects.
|
|
The learner will be able to complete a one-hour
homework drawing assignment each week in his sketchbook that reinforces
skills being focused on in class.
The learner will
be able to practice drawing and rendering to achieve a three-dimensional
effect on a two-dimensional surface.

|
The learner will be able to compare and contrast the
pigments, vehicles, properties and methods of working with oils, acrylics,
and watercolors.
|
|
The learner will be able to demonstrate his skill in various
techniques of working with oils, acrylics, and watercolors, by completing a
painting using each type of medium.
|
|
The learner will be able to compare and contrast the
works of art and architecture from Pre-historic times to the Renaissance.
|
|
The learner will be able to explore the role the artist
and his work played during the periods listed above and compare them to
current trends in art.
|
