Fine Arts - Crafts
|
|
The learner will be able to use the hand building
methods of working with clay: pinch, coil, slab, modeling, or a combination
of these to create a utilitarian or decorative object.

The learner will be able to demonstrate their ability
to go through the steps of throwing on the Potter's Wheel.
|
|
The learner will be able to work in groups to solve
problems of creating free standing and load bearing structures using only
paper and scissors.
|
|
The learner will be able to use additive and/or
subtractive sculpture techniques to create in-the-round or relief
sculptures using a variety of materials to depict representational or
non-representational subjects.

|
The learner will be able to use a relief carving
(linoleum block) to create a series of prints.
|
|
Objects for Personal Adornment
|
|
The learner will be able to create an object of
personal adornment using a variety of materials, and using metal as a flat
surface, incorporating the techniques of sawing, filing, enameling,
polishing and piecing.

|
The learner will be able to use the design elements
and principles of composition to create a wall hanging or piece of clothing
using the techniques of Batik, weaving, macramé, tie-dye, or a combination
of these.
