Physical Education - Kindergarten

 

 

 

Physical Development

 

The learner will engage in active play using fine and gross motor skills.

 

  

 

The learner will be able to skip, hop, and gallop and participate in relay games.

 

  

 

The learner will show understanding and follow simple health and safety rules.

 

  

 

The learner will understand the importance of physical fitness.

The learner will follow rules and procedures when participating in group physical activity.

The learner will demonstrate the ability to cooperate with others during group physical activities.

 

  

 

 

 

Personal Health

 

The learner will perform self-care tasks.

The learner will be able to use correct manners during snack/milk time.

 

  

 

The learner will be able to blow nose correctly when the need occurs.

 

  

 

The learner will be able to cover mouth for sneeze or cough.

 

  

 

The learner will be able to wash hands after using the restroom.

 

  

 

The learner will be able to maintain cleanliness of own body.

 

  

 

The learner will be able to handle and use school supplies appropriately (not eating art supplies or chewing on pencils).

 

  

 

 

 

Emotions

 

The learner will be able to recognize emotions and how they are linked to behavior.

The learner will be able to discuss their own feelings of frustration, sadness, happiness, anger.
