Mathematics  Grade K


The learner will be able to rote count to 100.

The learner will be able to rote count to 100 by
10's.

The learner will be able to use onetoone
correspondence when counting to 20.

The learner will be able to recognize and identify
numerals 120.

The learner will be able to write numerals in
sequence 120.

The learner will be able to create groups of objects
that represent numbers at least to 10.

The learner will be able to sort and classify
objects.

The learner will be able to compare numbers to see
which is more or less.

The learner will be able to identify and create
patterns.

The learner will be able to identify and label 6
basic shapes (circle, square, triangle, rectangle, diamond and oval).

The learner will be able to develop visual and
spatial skills with basic shapes (circle, square, triangle, rectangle,
diamond, and oval).

The learner will be able to draw two dimensional
shapes.

The learner will be able to examine things in their
natural environment, and think about how they relate to each other in terms
of attributes such as length, height, weight and area.

The learner will be able to predict and estimate
(length, weight, volume and area) with nonstandard units of measurement.

The learner will be able to participate in creating
real and picture graphs to prepare them for symbolic graphs.

The learner will be able to demonstrate knowledge of
calendar concepts: days of the week; months of the year; and yesterday,
today, and tomorrow.

The learner will be able to understand that a group
of 10 ones represents a set of 10.
